- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated (optional))
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- Green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the shrimp. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
