Delicious homemade chocolate turtles made with pecans, caramel, and chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast pecans for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Melt caramel candies and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. On a lined baking sheet, cluster three toasted pecans and spoon melted caramel over them.
  4. Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  5. Drizzle melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pecans generously.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate to set.
