Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy. Add butter, egg, and salt; mix in flour to form dough.
  2. Knead dough on floured surface for 5-7 minutes; place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and pineapple for the filling.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
  5. Roll dough tightly into a log, cut into 12 slices, and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover rolls and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

  • Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
  • For a richer flavor, use fresh pineapple instead of canned.
