Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy. Add butter, egg, and salt; mix in flour to form dough.
- Knead dough on floured surface for 5-7 minutes; place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and pineapple for the filling.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
- Roll dough tightly into a log, cut into 12 slices, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover rolls and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- For a richer flavor, use fresh pineapple instead of canned.
