Let’s gather what we need for our delicious casserole. Here’s a list of ingredients that will bring this dish to life:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add ground turkey, cook until no longer pink, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in zucchini and tomatoes, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Layer half of the turkey mixture and half of the mozzarella in a baking dish, then repeat.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
