Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by marinating the shrimp. In a bowl, mix tequila, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Let it marinate in the fridge for 15-30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure it’s nice and hot for that perfect char!
- Once marinated, thread the shrimp onto skewers. If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Place the skewers on the grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Watch them closely so they don’t overcook!
- Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy your delicious Grilled Margarita Shrimp!
