Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour for a healthier option)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for flavor)
- water as needed (to adjust dough consistency)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the Greek yogurt and olive oil (if using) into the flour mixture. Mix until it starts to form a dough.
- If the dough is too dry, add a little water, a tablespoon at a time, until it’s well combined and not sticky.
- Once mixed, knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions, rolling each into a ball.
- Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a flat disc, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the rolled flatbread in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown spots form.
- Remove from the heat and keep warm while you cook the remaining flatbreads.
