  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 counts hamburger buns
  • optional toppings: jalapeños, pickles, or extra cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are softened.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Top the mixture with shredded provolone cheese. Cover the skillet for a couple of minutes until the cheese has melted.
  • Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and add any optional toppings you like.
