- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 4 counts hamburger buns
- optional toppings: jalapeños, pickles, or extra cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are softened.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Top the mixture with shredded provolone cheese. Cover the skillet for a couple of minutes until the cheese has melted.
- Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and add any optional toppings you like.
