Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the cooled coffee, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just mixed.
- Fold in the caramel sauce and optional chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
