- 1 inch fresh ginger root
- 1 inch fresh turmeric root (or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder)
- 1 medium lemon
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional for sweetness)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Peel the ginger and turmeric roots. If using powder, skip this step.
- Chop the ginger and turmeric into small pieces for easier blending.
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon into a blender. You can add the lemon peel for extra flavor!
- Add the chopped ginger and turmeric to the blender.
- Pour in the water and blend until smooth. You might need to add more water for a thinner consistency.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a glass, discarding the pulp.
- Stir in honey if you prefer a sweeter shot.
- Pour into a shot glass and enjoy immediately!
