A delicious and quick meal combining tender steak and cheesy tortellini in a garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye is best)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Remove the steak and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak, tossing to combine.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and serve warm, garnished with parsley.
