- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast; let it sit until frothy.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
- Combine the frothy yeast mixture with the flour, olive oil, rosemary, and garlic; stir to form a dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour, covered with a towel.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 pieces, and shape into balls.
- Place the balls in a greased muffin tin and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Sprinkle sea salt on top of the muffins and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a stronger flavor, use fresh rosemary instead of dried.
- Make sure your yeast is fresh for best results.
