- 1 pre-made flatbread (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by peeling and deveining the shrimp, rinsing them, and chopping the parsley and garlic.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Then add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove shrimp and spread the buttery garlic mixture over the flatbread, followed by half of the parmesan cheese and the cooked shrimp.
- Top with remaining parmesan, lemon zest, and parsley.
- Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Slice into wedges and serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
