A quick and flavorful Garlic Ginger Beef Stir-Fry that’s perfect for any weeknight dinner.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the vegetables: slice bell pepper, broccoli, and carrots; chop green onions.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef and cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger; stir-fry for about 30 seconds. Add the vegetables and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, add sesame oil, and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to substitute vegetables based on availability.
