Delicious garlic butter shrimp wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for a quick appetizer.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 8 shrimp bombs

Ingredients

Scale

Before we dive into the cooking process, let’s gather our ingredients. You’ll need:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add shrimp, parsley, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; cook until shrimp turns pink (3-4 minutes) and let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and roll out puff pastry, cutting each sheet into 4 squares.
  3. Place shrimp filling in the center of each pastry square, fold corners to create pouches, and seal seams.
  4. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • For a richer flavor, use garlic butter instead of regular butter.
