Ingredients
Scale
Before we dive into the cooking process, let’s gather our ingredients. You’ll need:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add shrimp, parsley, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; cook until shrimp turns pink (3-4 minutes) and let cool.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and roll out puff pastry, cutting each sheet into 4 squares.
- Place shrimp filling in the center of each pastry square, fold corners to create pouches, and seal seams.
- Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- For a richer flavor, use garlic butter instead of regular butter.
