  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, etc.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions, salting the water. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add seafood and cook for 3-4 minutes until opaque.
  • Pour in white wine, add red pepper flakes, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to combine.
  • Finish with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Serve garnished with parsley.
