A delightful combination of crab meat and garlic butter stuffed in ripe avocados, perfect for appetizers or light meals.

  • Total Time: 20

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 whole ripe avocados
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • optional red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Stir in the crab meat, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and stir in the parsley.
  • Slice the avocados in half and remove the pits. Use a spoon to scoop out a little extra flesh to create space for the crab mixture.
  • Fill each avocado half with the garlic butter crab mixture, packing it in gently.
  • Transfer the stuffed avocados to a baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes, until heated through and slightly golden on top.
  • Garnish with more parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm!
