- 2 pounds fresh clams (scrubbed clean)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 loaf crusty bread (sliced)
Instructions
- Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice. Stir and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the clams to the pot. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately with slices of crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
