  • Total Time: 50

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 6-8 peaches)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on peach sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Cinnamon (optional, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss gently and set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Carefully spoon the peach mixture over the batter, making sure to distribute the peaches evenly.
  • If desired, sprinkle cinnamon on top for added flavor.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm, perhaps with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
