- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup French onion dip
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup egg noodles, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in the beef broth and French onion dip. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Add the uncooked egg noodles to the skillet, mixing everything together well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
