  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup French onion dip
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  • In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  • Stir in the beef broth and French onion dip. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the uncooked egg noodles to the skillet, mixing everything together well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
