Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices bread (like sourdough or whole wheat)
- 1 pound roast beef (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sautéed onions or peppers for extra flavor
Instructions
- First, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Let it melt and coat the pan.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Place four slices, buttered-side down, onto the skillet.
- Add a layer of shredded cheese on each slice. Then, top with a generous portion of sliced roast beef.
- Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then add another layer of cheese on top.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered-side up.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and repeat on the other side until the cheese is melted.
- While the sandwiches are cooking, heat the beef broth in a small pot. This will serve as your dipping sauce.
- Once the sandwiches are done, slice them in half and serve with a small bowl of warm beef broth for dipping.
