  • Total Time: 27

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth. Let it cool for a few minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped hazelnuts gently.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Roll each cookie ball in powdered sugar until completely coated.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies have crinkled and the edges look set.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
