- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together, stirring until smooth. Let it cool for a few minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped hazelnuts gently.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Roll each cookie ball in powdered sugar until completely coated.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies have crinkled and the edges look set.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
