  • 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 6-8 pieces pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup beef broth (optional for extra moisture)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  • Place the seasoned roast in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  • Add the butter on top of the mixes.
  • Place the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  • Pour in beef broth, if using.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
  • Shred the meat and stir into the sauce before serving.
