Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños for heat

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, and paprika, then sear in a skillet until browned.
  2. Layer sliced onions and minced garlic in the crockpot, place the meat on top, and add beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
  4. Remove the meat, shred it with forks, and return to the sauce.
  5. Assemble sandwiches with shredded meat on buns and add jalapeños if desired.
