Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet (skin removed)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey with a pinch of chili flakes)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste Salt and pepper
- for frying Oil (canola or vegetable oil)
Instructions
- Start by cutting the salmon into bite-sized pieces—about 1-inch cubes work great.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl. You’ll create a breading station.
- Dip each salmon piece first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat them with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, carefully add the salmon nuggets.
- Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Drizzle the hot honey over the nuggets while they’re still warm.
