  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet (skin removed)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (or regular honey with a pinch of chili flakes)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for frying Oil (canola or vegetable oil)

Instructions

  • Start by cutting the salmon into bite-sized pieces—about 1-inch cubes work great.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs. In a separate bowl, mix the flour with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl. You’ll create a breading station.
  • Dip each salmon piece first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat them with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, carefully add the salmon nuggets.
  • Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once cooked, place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Drizzle the hot honey over the nuggets while they’re still warm.
