- 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti works well)
- 6 strips bacon (chopped)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish (optional))
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water.
- Return crispy bacon to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Add drained pasta and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
