  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti works well)
  • 6 strips bacon (chopped)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish (optional))

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water.
  • Return crispy bacon to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add drained pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
