Delicious stuffed pasta shells filled with spinach and cheese in a creamy marinara sauce.

  • 12 large shells pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (chopped (or 1 cup frozen, thawed and drained))
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil (for garnish (optional))

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Stuff each shell with the spinach and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish.
  • Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
