This creamy mushroom steak is a delicious and easy dish that combines tender steak with a rich, savory mushroom sauce. Perfect for any dinner!

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning your steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they’re browned, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and add the Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. If you're using Parmesan cheese, stir that in now for extra creaminess.
  • Return the steaks to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Cook for another minute until heated through.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy your delicious creamy mushroom steak!
