Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pieces ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- to taste Salt and pepper
- to taste Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Start by seasoning your steaks with salt and pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they’re browned, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. If you're using Parmesan cheese, stir that in now for extra creaminess.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Cook for another minute until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley. Enjoy your delicious creamy mushroom steak!
