- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: a dash of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water. Drain when done.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, cooking for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with Parmesan cheese. Toss until pasta is coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
