  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: a dash of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water. Drain when done.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, cooking for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with Parmesan cheese. Toss until pasta is coated.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
