- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

- 1 cup cooked chicken or shrimp ((optional, for protein))
Instructions
- Start by cooking your pasta according to the package instructions. Make sure to salt your water for flavor. Drain and set aside, saving a little pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Slowly add the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Toss in the cooked pasta and mix well to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you want to add chicken or shrimp, this is the time to do it!
