- 4 breasts boneless, skinless chicken
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste Salt and pepper
- to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 cup optional: spinach or mushrooms for added veggies
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it. If you’re using spinach or mushrooms, add them now and let everything simmer together for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious, creamy garlic parmesan chicken!
