- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Start by cooking the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in the heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and shrimp, tossing to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
