- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced (red or green)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- Cooked rice or pasta for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the sausage for about 5 minutes.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add shrimp, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper; cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream, simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, and adjust seasoning.
- Serve over cooked rice or pasta and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the Cajun seasoning.
