- 8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for a kick
Instructions
- Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Make sure to salt the water for flavor.
- In the last 3-4 minutes of cooking the pasta, add the broccoli florets to the pot.
- While the pasta and broccoli are cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts into the sauce.
- Once the pasta and broccoli are done, drain them and add them to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
