- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 tablespoons bacon drippings (or vegetable oil)
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup flour (for gravy)
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
- Mix flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
- Dip each pork chop in buttermilk, then dredge in the seasoned flour.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
- Fry the pork chops in bacon drippings for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make gravy by whisking 1/4 cup flour into the drippings, then gradually add milk until thickened.
- Stir crumbled bacon into the gravy, then serve it over the pork chops.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the seasoned pork chops rest for 15 minutes before frying.
- Feel free to add more spices to the flour mixture as desired.
