- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- a pinch salt
- as desired Optional toppings (whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries)
Instructions
- Start by draining any excess liquid from the cottage cheese.
- In a blender or food processor, combine cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and milk.
- Blend until completely smooth.
- Scrape down the sides and blend again.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Transfer the mousse into serving cups and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Top with your choice of whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries.
