  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

  • as desired Optional toppings (whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries)

Instructions

  • Start by draining any excess liquid from the cottage cheese.
  • In a blender or food processor, combine cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Blend until completely smooth.
  • Scrape down the sides and blend again.
  • Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  • Transfer the mousse into serving cups and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  • Top with your choice of whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries.
