Delightfully crispy and fluffy, these cookies and cream funnel cake bites are a fun twist on the classic treat! Perfect for parties and gatherings!

  • Total Time: 35

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Start by heating about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat. You can check if it’s hot enough by dropping a small amount of batter in; it should sizzle.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined. Don’t overmix; lumps are okay!
  • Gently fold in the crushed cookies until evenly distributed.
  • Once the oil is hot, spoon the batter into a piping bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off.
  • Carefully squeeze the batter into the hot oil in circular motions, creating a spiral shape. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Remove the bites and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  • Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
