  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped green bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté onions and green bell peppers in a skillet over medium heat until soft.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef, sautéed vegetables, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Make an indentation in the center and fill it with shredded provolone cheese.
  6. Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 1 hour until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
