- 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar (for rolling)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add in both sugars, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for rolling.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, form balls of dough and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the rolled balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
