Deliciously soft and chewy cookies with a delightful cinnamon sugar coating.

  • Total Time: 27

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Add in both sugars, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for rolling.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, form balls of dough and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place the rolled balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
