- 3 ripe bananas (Mashed)
- 1/2 cup butter (Melted)
- 1 cup sugar (Can use brown sugar for more flavor)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (For swirl)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (For swirl)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then add the flour. Mix until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl. Set aside.
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
- Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to swirl everything together gently.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
