  • 3 ripe bananas (Mashed)
  • 1/2 cup butter (Melted)
  • 1 cup sugar (Can use brown sugar for more flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (For swirl)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (For swirl)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (Optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then add the flour. Mix until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl. Set aside.
  • Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
  • Pour in the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to swirl everything together gently.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
