  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Additional cinnamon for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt cake pan well with non-stick spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix!
  • Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing out the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • For the glaze, whisk together maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
  • If desired, sprinkle additional cinnamon on top for that extra kick!
