- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Additional cinnamon for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt cake pan well with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix!
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing out the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, whisk together maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
- If desired, sprinkle additional cinnamon on top for that extra kick!
