These Chocolate Pecan Cookies are rich, chewy, and loaded with chocolate and nuts. Perfect for any occasion!

  • Total Time: 30

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture. Beat until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until everything is combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans using a spatula.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers might look a little soft – that’s perfect!
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
