Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Chocolate shavings or chopped peanuts (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the crust. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the whipped topping gently until well blended. This adds a light, airy texture to the filling.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top. You can also add chocolate shavings or chopped peanuts for extra flair.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully.
- Once set, slice and serve chilled. Enjoy this delightful treat!
