Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2–3 limes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Skewers (wooden or metal, soaked if wooden)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, honey, chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but no more than 2 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer, leaving a little space between each.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy!
