  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Place meatballs and sauce into sub rolls. Serve immediately.
