- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Place meatballs and sauce into sub rolls. Serve immediately.
