- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the seared chicken on top.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving, garnishing with fresh basil if desired.
