  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup almond butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional sliced almonds for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the almond butter and softened butter, mixing until crumbly.
  • Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  • Spread the chopped cherries evenly over the crust.
  • Add the vanilla extract to the remaining crumble mixture, then sprinkle it over the cherries.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
