- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup almond butter (smooth or crunchy)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Optional sliced almonds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the almond butter and softened butter, mixing until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Spread the chopped cherries evenly over the crust.
- Add the vanilla extract to the remaining crumble mixture, then sprinkle it over the cherries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
