- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- to taste Salt and pepper
- as needed Olive oil for sautéing
- as desired Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, pickles, or additional cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Lightly brush the outside with olive oil.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until soft, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned.
- Stir in the cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
- Stuff each pepper with the beef mixture.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving!
