  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Olive oil for sautéing
  • as desired Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, pickles, or additional cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Lightly brush the outside with olive oil.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced onions and minced garlic until soft, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned.
  • Stir in the cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
  • Stuff each pepper with the beef mixture.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes before serving!
