- 3 whole ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- optional 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Gradually add the flour until just combined.
- If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now. Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the bread to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan. Then, transfer it to a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce while still warm.
