A delicious twist on classic banana bread with a rich caramel drizzle on top!

  • Total Time: 80

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 whole ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • optional 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Gradually add the flour until just combined.
  • If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in now. Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Once baked, allow the bread to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan. Then, transfer it to a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce while still warm.
